The Faces of Aelaria
Every one of them is telling the truth — as they remember it.
Finalthief
Cocky, quick-fingered, and impossible to ignore, Bradan Laverna lives for gold and the thrill of the next score. Behind the grin and the twin gold-hilted daggers is a man marked by loss — a legendary treasure hunter who reinvented himself after tragedy, and a father trying to find his way back to a daughter who sails under another name.
Leia “Starshade”
Born amid fire and cannon smoke, Leia is the daughter of two pirate legends — and determined to be neither. Under a borrowed name she carves her own legacy: sword in hand, musket at her hip, her mother’s necklace close to her heart. Fiercely independent, slow to trust, and always hungry — for freedom, for coin, for the next challenge.
Clyde Rackham
Tall, silent, and always calculating, the elf they called the Shadow Tyger read the stars better than any navigator on the water — one emerald eye fixed on the heavens, the other lost to a story no one tells twice. Once of the Retrievers, presumed dead these twenty years. But the sea keeps its own counsel, and old grudges are patient sailors.
Legends & Company
The figures whose shadows the story sails in.
Clisson al-Hurra
Born to the noble house of al-Hurra in Shadowdale, she traded a gilded cage for the open sea — and became a legend leading the fiercest crew on the water. She died a pirate. She lived free.
“I left to become my own legend.”
